Diversity and Including behaviour in the Tech World: A Path to Progress
Have you ever felt left out at work or struggled to find a sense of belonging or being heard? You’re not alone. Many of us have experienced this, and it’s likely some of your colleagues have too. Our workplaces often don’t reflect the rich diversity of our society, and this can lead to feelings of exclusion.
The tech sector, particularly in IT/OT environment, data science, and leadership roles, has long been known for its lack of diversity in gender, but on the other hand has enormous differences in culture. Now is the time to challenge this status quo and address disparities.
As the demand for tech professionals continues to surge and the pivotal role technology plays in our lives becomes increasingly evident, Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) is more critical than ever. In the end, it can be debated, but isn’t everything tech in some way shape or form? Inclusion isn’t just a goal; it’s an ongoing action which should lead to including behaviour.
We are excited to invite you to our upcoming event in partnership with Yokogawa, featuring the dynamic Nienke Gerridzen, European Operations Manager of Digital Enterprise Solutions at Yokogawa. Recognized by MT/Sprout in the Next Leadership 50, Nienke leads a European team in delivering cutting-edge technology and consultancy. Her wealth of experience and leadership in the tech industry are truly inspirational.
Our event aims get in conversation with each other about the topic and to provide valuable insights and answers to questions such as:
- Why including behaviour starts with you, your team and environment, and how can you play a role?
- How to collaborate when you work in a diverse working environment /when working with different cultures/different migration background?
- The next generation is joining the workforce whilst the average age of the workforce is >47, what can you do to get connected?
- How to leverage differences and grow together by utilizing diversity as a strength?
Even if you are not active in the tech sector, the examples given will inspire you to take action. The event will provide plenty of practical insights for your own situation and that of your company.
Don’t miss this opportunity to be inspired and to contribute to the dialogue on creating a more inclusive tech industry. Together, we can pave the way for a future where every voice is heard and valued.
